Vanishing Point”” is a studio version of a plein air piece I did while passing thru St Marks Florida. The levees in the marshes at the wildlife preserve go for miles and offer much wildlife and natural beauty to enjoy. I had a 10 foot gator visit me the day I was there. Yikes! I never saw him until a passerby pointed him out. He had climbed up on the beach behind me.
The Walton County Library, Coastal Branch asked several artists to do paintings based on a book of our choice. I chose the book “A Land Remembered”, by Patrick Smith. If you have never read this and you live in the State of Florida, you should. Excellent read! Look closely and you will see the fancy (painted white) cracker house in the distance. Palms at Eden Gardens State Park, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. If you have never been to Eden Gardens you should go. Very peaceful and beautiful. I love going there with my dog, Ozzy, and to hike and draw. Current Location: VA Hospital, Orlando
