I have been looking at this gladiolus and wanting to paint it. Finally, I took the leap and did so. I used a different technique. I did not draw or measure anything. I just concentrated on shape color and light. This technique is very freeing and much quicker than trying to reproduce a flower. I do believe it came out much better than if I had look at it as a flower instead of shapes.

(I am still challenged getting a good photograph – Argh – Yes it is a little blurry)
